Beware of making money online programs

Monday, April 28th, 2008

For anyone that watches late night television and infomercials it is not news that there are many business opportunities on the internet. There are advertisements in print media, television and a few months ago I heard a commercial on the radio. With all the hype about home based and internet based business opportunities I decided that I would look into it to see if I could supplement our income.

There are many sites that make huge claims about making money online. In my research I found that some of them are complete scams and others are complicated business ventures. I did come up with a few pitfalls and tools that I used in sorting out the opportunities. It is very easy to get caught up in spending money to obtain information. That is the first pitfall that I fell into. When looking into making money online do not pay for information about the opportunity.

We have all come across the sites that claim that you can make thousands of dollars a week spending a few minutes a day whenever you want to. Most of these sites call themselves data entry opportunities. They tell you that if you can type an email you can do the job and make thousands of dollars a week. The information that is not shared prior to buying into the company is that you need to spend a great deal of money posting the advertisements that you type up. I paid to learn more about the data entry positions. In the hype portion I was told that all I needed to do was to fill out forms and post them on the internet. I was not told that I first had to pay to get the forms and then had to pay to post them. I also had to research which company had the greatest potential of helping me recoup my money as well as make a profit. It was a very complicated and misleading experience. The next pitfall that I fell into in trying to make money online was the completion of surveys. This is the biggest rip off that there is on the internet. For one thing you can join companies to get mailed the surveys without going through a third party. The third party has you pay money then they simply give you the websites of the survey companies. I ended up spending money joining music and make up clubs as well as ordering magazines. There was one survey that I took that I was paid $1.50 for taking. The third party company stated that you could make hundreds of dollars a week spending fifteen to twenty hours. This was not a sure bet in making money online for me. The person that was making money online in this case was the one that found the survey takers for the companies, who in turn bought from the companies.

Making money online is possible, but it is not a get rich quick scheme and the old saying “if it sounds too good to be true it probably isn’t” definitely applies.

Is there more money online than a regular job?

Saturday, April 26th, 2008

So you get your high school diploma and then head off to college. After four years of tough classes and infinite homework assignments, you finally get your bachelor’s degree. Now, it’s high time to earn some serious cash. At last you will have an income that seems suitable for the “real world.” Finally you can buy a few things you’ve been wanting. Oh wait; then comes the first months rent bill for your new pad and the 300 dollar car payment invoice, and then the power bill, and bla bla bla. Suddenly you realize that you won’t have as much money as you hoped. In no time you’re married with a wife and children, trying hard to make ends meet. Does this sound familiar to anyone? It should; it’s only the freaking American dream. Okay, so maybe more like the American routine. However, there’s no time to fret. Luckily there is a good money making opportunity just around the corner.

I have a wonderful money making opportunity waiting for me each and every day I hop on my laptop. Do you have any idea what I’m talking about? It all has to do with the World-Wide-Web and the possible money making opportunity of your dreams. Did you know that people make money from their homes each and every day? I don’t think a lot of people are in the loop on this one. However, with just your PC or Mac, you too can earn a living from home. It’s simple when the world is at your fingertips. And I’m not just talking about a single money making opportunity, I’m referring to the thousands of them in cyberspace. You know how to use a search engine don’t you? Well then, get online and start a search. Punch in the type of career you would like to have. Maybe you’ve always wanted to write grants or resumes for a living. Hey, guess what; people have these jobs, and they don’t even have to leave the privacy of their own home. My wife’s hairdresser was telling me about her husband, who writes resumes for a living. She said he’s been doing it for a decade now and makes 500 bucks a pop. That’s pretty sweet!

If you are in search of a quality money making opportunity, then don’t waste any more time. Jump on that keyboard and get started. However, although there are oodles of legitimate jobs and opportunities on the web, there are also a number of scams. It basically comes down to whether or not they want your money. If they do, dismiss them immediately.

Wealth creation ideas

Thursday, April 24th, 2008

The very best money making ideas are the ones that do not occur to everyone.  Although there are practically a million different ways to make money online, most attempts at making money on the web fail within just a few months.  Some of them are worse – they never have a chance to succeed at all.   These so-called money making ideas are actually nothing but scams, developed by clever con artists, to con you out of your hard earned dough.  Some of these moneymaking ideas who promise to double or triple your investment within mere hours, or days at the outside, with very little work on your part.  Anyone who believes in these supposedly money making ideas practically deserves to have the money ripped off, if you ask me.

There is no sure guide to how to create wealth.  There are money making ideas that involve investment, but many of these are no sure bet.  The general rule of thumb is, the more potentially lucrative a money making idea is, the more potentially disastrous it is if it fails.  After all, if there were 1,000,000  different money making ideas that were guaranteed to succeed overnight and make you fabulously wealthy, then how come not everyone is wealthy?  Know, there are no sure ideas to make money.  Money making ideas, like everything else, required timing, ingenuity, and and good old-fashioned hard work to succeed.

Many of the greatest money making ideas in history involve a new product or concept.  If you can design and market a successful invention, you can take on the entire world.  More than ever before, we live in a society that worships ingenuity, and the newest thing is destined to be the most popular thing after a few minutes.  But then again, you can have all of the great money making ideas that there are, but if you do not know how to get your project built and marketed, you will get nowhere with it.  All you will have your toils is disappointment and debt.

Sometimes, investments really do make good money making ideas, but if it sounds too good to be true it probably is.  For everyone who found his way into a great investment at the last minute there are probably two or three who managed to lose all of their money, and dozens more profound the investment to be greatly disappointing to say the least.  Never pick up money making ideas that sound just like get rich quick schemes.  You will lose more than just your faith in humanity.

Attract wealth woring online

Thursday, April 24th, 2008

If there’s one thing everyone should know by now, it’s that there are literally countless ways to make money and attract wealth in this modern era. In fact, the 9-5 job of working for “the man” is slowly fading out a bit. Much of this is due to the success of independent businesses and the Internet. You’d better believe that cyberspace opened up all sorts of new doors for making money. Individuals and families that desire to run their own business can now do so with ease all because there are so many potential consumers online. So what if you sell dessert gift baskets and the market for such a product is low in your small tow. Just market them online via your own personal website. As long as folks around the globe realize the treats are there, they will come buy them.

Don’t limit your ideas for making money. The truth is you don’t have to have an old-fashioned job to make money anymore. In other words you don’t have to literally go to work for someone else everyday. Have you ever heard of marketing affiliate products online? This is a seriously massive business now days. Anyone with a successful website or blog can monetize it in minutes with relevant affiliate programs. If you have a website that focuses primarily on remedies for skin care, then why not add a few affiliate links to your website. This way when someone clicks on that link and purchases a product, you acquire a percentage of the sale. This is one of the easiest ways of making money online and doing so with very minimal effort.

With little money invested, you can start your own business from the comfort of your home. Maybe you have an education in computer hardware of software. Or maybe you simply want to sell computer parts. You can do this if you choose to and start making money at it. With a good website you can easily appeal to all sorts of consumers that require computer repairs or replacement parts. Naturally you buy them at wholesale and sell them to the consumers at retail. This is just one of many ways you can begin making money on your own from home. Numerous people are choosing to work for themselves these days, because the hours are more desirable and the payout is better.

Create Wealth Online

Sunday, April 20th, 2008

Whenever I hear someone talking about how to make easy money on the Internet, I automatically cringe. You see, until recently all of my efforts to create wealth on the Internet failed. I have to admit that I am somewhat gullible. In most respects, I am fairly intelligent, but I have a way of falling for scams that is quite unbecoming. There are so many things that I want to believe, and the idea that I can become rich overnight is at the top of the list. In short, I’m exactly the person who the make money online sellers target – naïve, enterprising, and just a little bit desperate.

As a matter of fact, I have tried almost every possible way to make money on the Internet. I tried selling on eBay, which did absolutely nothing for me. I was able to sell a few odds and ends that I have collected over the years, but with the amount of time that I invested in creating an eBay store, I didn’t really gain enough to make it worth it. That was one of my more successful attempts to make money online too! Some of the other ones are almost too embarrassing to tell.

Of course, I tried to make money on the Internet through affiliate programs, but I never got more than a few dollars from this. I run a pretty popular blog, and I figured that I could turn all that Web traffic to my advantage. Unfortunately, although it did make a buck or two, I also alienated a lot of my readers with my attempts to make money on the web. You see, it is an environmentalist, anti-consumer blog. Seeing Internet pop-up ads on it was the last thing my readers wanted. The backlash wasn’t worth a few bucks.

Come to think of it, I have been completely unable to make money on the Internet except in ways that I made money before the Internet was around. You see, I have dabbled in freelance writing for years and years. The Internet has made it a lot easier for us freelancers. We can find work from the comfort of our own homes, and we don’t have to wait for e-mails or telephone calls anymore. If you are a decent writer and pretty good at marketing yourself, this is an easy and obvious method for making money on the Internet. Nevertheless, don’t start off thinking that it will make you rich overnight. It simply won’t.

Money saving tips and ideas

Friday, April 18th, 2008

Today’s high cost of living demands that most of us be diligent and creative when it comes to saving money. Although housing costs are fixed, much of the remainder of your budget can be trimmed with a little imagination and discipline. Let’s look at some simple ways to save money that let you enjoy life while saving money in significant sums.

During the Great Depression, people had to use every possible money saving measure just to keep the household afloat. Today, we’re not faced with such dire circumstances, but taking a page from our grandparent’s day will result in saving money for that rainy day.

Home heating and cooling costs are enough to ruin your day with your monthly bill. Inspect your doors and windows for worn-out or non-existent weatherstripping. The expense of sealing those leaks is minuscule when compared with continuous, expensive heat flying out into the great outdoors. When you’re home in chilly weather, put on a sweater and turn down the heat. Good weatherstripping is just as valuable in summer, keeping the heat out. Consider installing two-directional ceiling fans, which are useful money saving appliances, in both summer and winter. On all but the hottest days, use the fan to pull up the hot air instead of reaching for the air conditioner switch. In winter, reverse the fan blades to keep the heat around you rather than warming the ceiling.

Even lighting can add noticeably to your power bill. The rule of thumb on lights is, if you won’t be using it in the next two or three minutes, turn it off. You’ll be saving money.

Food purchases offer big rewards when it comes to saving money. Rising fuel costs have made it more expensive to get food transported to the grocery store and that cost has been passed to the consumer. Most of us are taking a hard look at reinventing our menus to keep our food budgets intact. Here are some ideas to spark your imagination.

The average American diet includes far more protein than our bodies need. Stir-fry dishes, along with casseroles, soups and omelettes generally require little meat, provide tasty ways to use leftover vegetables and are nutritious, yet substantial enough to satisfy your appetite. The one-dish meal often relies on a variety of color and textures from several ingredients and the addition of herbs and spices to produce a meal that is both attractive and flavorful. For maximum savings on food, design your menus around the weekly sales.

Simply following the few ideas here can make saving money painless. Your home heating and cooling costs may plummet a whopping 15%.  Smart and thoughtful food shopping can easily reduce your bill by 30%. Saving money can be fun! Bank it, or take a second look at that must-have pair of shoes you’ve been admiring. No doubt your friends will ask how you became a money saving expert!

Lose the dead end job

Tuesday, April 15th, 2008

Here’s the problem. Millions of us trudge off to work everyday with little enthusiasm. Now, why do you suppose this is? I’m going to tell you. We don’t like our current situations. Maybe it’s because we chose a field that hardly interests us. Or, maybe we struggle on a daily basis with certain co-workers of supervisors. Regardless, we don’t feel appreciated, nor do we ever feel secure. That lingering notion dangles in the back of our minds whether we like it or not. Tomorrow we could be laid off, let go, or just flat-out canned. There really doesn’t have to be a reason. Not a legitimate one anyway. Companies tend to make things up, bend the rules, and discard employees on a whim. It’s no big thing to them. However, it’s clearly a massive deal to us. We depend on that income to pay the bills. Now, haven’t you heard enough? Can’t you relate to this diatribe? Maybe your next step should be researching ways to make money on the Internet.

I often ponder the many ways people start their own businesses. I suppose it just depends on their preferences and fortes. We all should take advantage of what we’re good at. What do you enjoy, and take utter pride in? This may be your way to make money on the Internet. People just like yourself do it everyday. If you think they can’t, you’re only fooling yourself. Some individuals build websites and right informative articles to answer questions. Your questions, my questions. They place ad links on their websites, so that when folks like you and me read their articles, we just might be intrigued and click on an ad link. This earns them revenue. Maybe you’ve already heard of Google Adsense. Feel free to use it yourself.

Naturally there are also oodles of scams. To this day I’ve never come across a legitimate survey site. Those ads that claim to pay large amounts of cash for surveys are bogus. You’ll only get flooded with irksome emails and junk coupons. Take a moment and consider the kind of business you could start to make money on the Internet. Maybe you want to sell organic coffee, holiday gift baskets, or an array of fun treats. There are no limits when it comes to cyberspace business. You too can ditch your retched career and make money on the Internet doing something you enjoy.

Create wealth for retirement

Thursday, April 10th, 2008

The future is always uncertain, and it is in your best interest to set aside some money to create wealth for future emergencies and for retirement. You may also wish to invest in your children by putting aside money for their college education. Sometimes, it is not a matter of wanting to invest in the future; it’s a matter of finding the money to invest in the first place. For many families, money is tight, and squeezing out savings is hard. The good news is that no matter how much or how little money you make, there is always a way to save.

If you have a hard time making ends meet, you may laugh when someone suggests you need to save some money from each paycheck to put towards savings or investments. The secret to saving money is to save it before you can spend it. Many people save money to invest in the future by asking to have it taken from their check before they get it. This means their company will set it up so that the amount they want to save will be sent to a savings account before the check is issued. If you don’t have a lot of money to invest, you can start with just five dollars.

You may think that five dollars isn’t a lot of money, and wonder what the point is. If you put five dollars into a savings account every week for a year, you will have 260 dollars at the end of the year. You can take this money and put it into an interest earning account and leave it there. If you continue to save, you should have a good amount of money to invest in bigger ventures after five years. This may seem slow and painful, but it is much better than saving nothing at all.

When you have larger amounts of money to invest, you should visit with a financial consultant to discuss and review your options. A good consultant can help you decide where to put your money, and how to make it grow. You should tell them what you want from your money, and what kind of risk you would like to take. Remember that there are low risk options, but you won’t get a huge return. On the other hand, you can take the higher risk options in order to get a bigger return, but the chances of you taking a loss are higher.

There is information everywhere, and you just have to learn how to sort through it. When choosing someone to help you with your money, you want someone who wants to help, not someone who wants a high commission. Use your intuition, and remember that it’s your money to invest, and you want what is best for you and your family. If you get a bad feeling from someone who should be helping you, don’t be afraid to take your money elsewhere.
